April 3, 2006; Idaho Falls, ID, USA; Firth Man Killed In Avalanche; A man from Firth is dead after getting caught in an avalanche in Clark County. This is a map of the area where the avalanche happened just after noon Sunday. The Clark County Sheriff's office says Douglas Mitchel of Firth was found dead under seven feet of snow. The friend he was riding his snowmobile with was found alive soon after the accident. Search and Rescue says Mitchel and his friend were not wearing beacons at the time and that might have helped them find them sooner. March 6, 2006; BOISE - Caldwell Resident Performs On Snowmobile World Wide; You may not know the name Heath Frisby, but the 21-year old Caldwell resident is a big time snowmobiler all over Europe. Frisby and three of his friends are part of an aerial trick riding snowmobiling show. Along with being featured inside ESPN Magazine, Frisby's career highlight was riding in Moscow, Russia in front of the Kremlin.
